The first thought that came to my mind when I boarded the new V52, at the boat show in Cannes, WAS WELL DONE PRINCESS!!!
Without doubt this 50 foot sport boat is the best designed V boat that I have seen to date! The Princess design team have succeeded in taking the best features from all their previous models including some their competitors and have built a beautiful V-shaped sport boat. Even though, we are the importers of Princess and I am possibly biased in favour of this English luxury brand.
Background:
The V52 is part of the V-Class range of Princess Yachts. This range starts from the new V39, still to be launched, up to the V85-S. Open sport boats have proven extremely popular in Europe in the last 10 years. Usually the V boats are faster, sportier and more for the jet set than the conventional fly-bridge models. Ease of operation of the V-Class designed on 2 levels divided into the living level and the upper level, open space entertainment and sun bathing level - giving the feeling open air and freedom to enjoy the shade or the sun.
The princess V52 is “custom built” for the Israeli sport boat entusiasts.
The open cockpit, sliding entrance door to the lower living area and the saloon gives the feeling of a large and private area.
Much to my satisfaction Princess have designed the garage underneath the cockpit, creating a spacious sun bathing and fun platform – with the option of a retractable sun and shade roof. A further revolutionary introduction by Princess is provided by a sliding glass door separating the upper saloon from the open sun bathing areas in the stern of the boat. The saloon and helm station can be sealed fully air conditioned with television and entertainment centre. At the push of a button the sliding door can be opened and the retractable portion of the hard top rolled away and the complete cockpit and saloon area becomes light open sun bathed area.
The owner’s cabin in the living level is a full beam cabin with a panoramic view from the large rectangular window to both, port and starboard side. The VIP forward cabin provide a sought after option of 2 separate beds or a sliding mechanism to change to a full size double bed. Princess have also designed an optional cabin for large family units. The 50 foots has always been a successful model and size because of the ease of maneuverability, without the necessity of having a full time skipper or crew. The accessibility and range enables the Princess V52 to sail to all areas of the Mediterranean with consummate ease and style.
